Professor Gregory Lee gave a keynote on migration in history. He revisited traditional concepts of language and ethnic identities arguing that DNA research reveals that past history might very well do away with existing concepts of national identities.

Final Programme
We have posted the Final Version of the Programme. (Link to the left of this post or here). We are really looking forward to meeting you all. We are really impressed by the variety and substance of your presentations.
The programme includes all the necessary information about the time and the room of all the presentations.
At the moment the weather forecast for Dublin is sunshine for Friday with 7°C maximum temperature.
Saturday should be higher by two degrees, probably due to the coming rain.
Keep in mind that in Ireland we do have four seasons in … one day and that weather forecasts are part of our imaginary.

Move to Kevin Street Campus
Due to organisational issues surrounding DIT's Open Day, we have decided to change the venue of the Symposium to Kevin Street Campus. As this is a mere five minutes' distance from Aungier Street Campus, it will not cause any significant inconvenience. Please refer to the updated location map

We are glad to announce that final decisions have been made and those who have not been told yet will be very shortly.

We are happy to announce that Prof. Gregory Lee who holds the Chair Professorship of Chinese and Transcultural Studies at the City University of Hong Kong and is also the Dean of the University's College of Humanities and Social Sciences, former Vice-President of Université de Lyon III, Jean Moulin will be one of our Keynote Speakers.
